Objective of Cedar Lake Volunteer Fire Department

The objective of this organization shall be to protect lives and property from the adverse effects of fire, medical emergencies and exposure to hazardous conditions created by man or nature.

Membership

A member is a person who contributes personal service in pursuit of the objective of the Cedar Lake Volunteer Fire Department and who meets the criteria, of which a portion is mentioned,  hereafter stated for obtaining and maintaining membership.

To begin to obtain membership a person must meet all of the following, in addition to other criteria:

  1. Be at least 18 years of age

  2. Reside within the boundaries put forth in the Cedar Lake Volunteer Fire Department's Bylaw on Residency.

  3. Have a completed application form on file with the organization.

You may contact our Headquarters Monday thru Friday 9 am – 3 pm if you are unsure if you live in the CLFD qualified areas for further membership criteria or stop by the fire station.  219-374-5961

 

We encourage you to join your local volunteer fire department in your community. 

Feel free to stop by the fire station and speak with Fire Chief Todd Wilkening in regards to becoming a member of the Cedar Lake Volunteer Fire Department
